Good evening everyone, a few days ago the literary world was rocked by a grand decision.
Harper Lee would be coming out with a second book. Needless to say anyone who read To Kill A Mockingbird and loved it is very excited.
It’s finally happening, and to many it’s an amazing experience to get this second book. But maybe things are not as amazing as we readers would like to think. Why after all these years is Harper Lee deciding to come out with the book? It is because she believes her death may come soon and she wants it published before she does pass away? Or is because HarperCollins believes she’s about to die, and can’t protest it being published.
The ailing author is not doing very well, and it’s rough to think that she could make very many decisions when publishing a book. So who is making these decisions and are they just making it for a quick buck.
The story of exploitation is old, but it does not make it any less criminal.
